Providing Financial Support for the Larimer County 4-H program
The Larimer County 4-H Foundation is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization. Established in 1953 and governed by a Board of Trustees that donates their time and expertise, the Foundation is an arm of the Larimer County Office of Colorado State University Extension. The Foundation acts upon recommendations from Larimer County Extension and their advisory groups to create and sustain positive youth development.
The Foundation helps provide the following learning opportunities for Larimer County 4-H Youth to participate in programs held locally, statewide and nationally. Educational opportunities include but are not limited to:
- Educational programs
- Project workshops & competitions
- Camp experiences
- Livestock & other 4-H projects
- Citizenry skills
- Post-secondary education
The Larimer County 4-H program is one of the largest traditional club programs in Colorado. Approximately 300 volunteer adult leaders and 1,000 youth, ages 5 through 18, participate in its projects.
TODAY’S 4-H
Supporting Rural, Urban and Suburban Youth
Organized more than 100 years ago as a way to give rural youth new agricultural skills, today’s 4-H involves rural, urban, and suburban youth. The 4-H program offers youth safe learning environments and partnerships with caring adults who help them successfully acquire their needs of belonging, mastery, independence, and generosity.

Congratulations to all our 2024 Winners! The Foundation’s Scholarship Committee selects scholarship winners and alternates for all but two scholarships. The Michael Dickinson Memorial Scholarship, and the Nancy Sue Morehouse Agriculture Scholarship winners are selected by family members who represent their respective scholarship.
